What is Quantum Consciousness?

We are living in the blooming of a new view of reality. The discoveries of quantum physics are rapidly converging with the ancient wisdom traditions, in an evolutionary development that could be called Quantum Consciousness. This new cosmology sees the universe as a "Unified Field" or inter-related web without separate parts, alive, conscious and meaningful. The primary reality is consciousness. The material realm is secondary. Meaning is fundamental. We are evolving at a fierce rate toward these new understandings, and toward a new conception of our own nature. We are all the Cosmos becoming conscious of Itself and turning back to look at Its handiwork.

Symbols and the Mithal

One of the most mysterious and generative parts of the Mithal and the Field is the symbol. A symbol is an image that carries meaning. It must be distinguished from an ordinary image in consciousness. It is special. Our mental functioning is a steady stream of images, day and night. The images succeed each other, each . . . → Read More: Symbols and the Mithal

Wonder is the invisible component of transformation. It is a special kind of consciousness, an expanded state that involves both the mind and the heart. It focuses the mind on generative Being, and produces a subtle thrill throughout the mind and body, as perceptions of and connection to the Cosmos emerge in experience. Wonder opens the . . . → Read More: Wonder

The Mithal

Contrary to the American consensus view, which focuses on the material world as the only true reality, existence is a many-layered phenomenon. There are inner realms of non-material reality—a realm of light, a realm of energy, a realm of images—that are almost completely lost to modern consciousness because they do not exist in the consensus framework. . . . → Read More: The Mithal

The Apollonian and the Chthonian

The Western reality system has been characterized as “Apollonian.” It’s a useful handle for a bundle of characteristics. The word derives, of course, from Apollo, the god of the sun. The Apollonian mind, familiar to us all because it is our own, is brilliantly sun-lit, clear and orderly. Reality is material, visible, simple, observable and apparent. . . . → Read More: The Apollonian and the Chthonian
